Most Knowledgeable and Outstanding Driver in Quito

Driver Alex from Transfers Friends is OUTSTANDING!! We arrived late at night during the Quito protest curfew. Alex navigated through old town Quito avoiding roadblocks that popped up along the way. Arriving at our pre-booked hotel it was closed, no one answered phone calls or knocks at their door. Alex made a call to Friends Hostel and they were able to accommodate us. All this occurred at 1 AM. We later found out the hotel was ordered to evacuate by the police due to the protests. We also used Alex for sightseeing around Quito. His van was reliable and roomy enough for the 6 of us. His knowledge of Quito, the surrounding areas, and history is comprehensive. Alex also spoke really good English. He saved our tails late at night when we encountered our closed hotel. We HIGHLY recommend Transfers Friends and driver Alex.

The driver/ guide was on time.He was courteous and showed knowledge of the city’s history.We also booked the trip back to the airport with them and it was also great.

The service itself was fine, but they were 10 minutes late coming to the airport. I had clearly relayed my flight information, so I was surprised when no one was in arrivals with my name. We contemplated taking a taxi when we didn’t see anyone and waited. Finally showed up, and everything was easy.
