Reviews
We started early in the morning on the 26th and made our way to breakfast, where unfortunately our bus broke down. However, no worries ... we were able to hop on another bus with Veronica as our guide and Carlos as our driver. We got to Cotopaxi volcano safely, and Veronica and Carlos were so hospitable and kind. My partner got some altitude sickness, and they were very helpful. They helped us with another tour company to take us down from the parking area of Cotopaxi to get down to a lower elevation until our tour bus could come and pick us up. I appreciated Carlos' and Veronica's concern.
After staying the night at Chuquiragua Lodge and having a very tasty lunch/dinner, we were picked up by our bus and then transferred to another tour bus, this one a double-decker bus(!), with Carlos as our driver again and another Carlos as our guide.
We drove to Quilotoa Lagoon, and some of the tourists went on a hike, whilst we stayed in town to walk around, which Carlos was totally cool with. After that adventure, we left quite late to drive to Banos. We didn't get there until late at night, too late to really check out the area.
The next day, after breakfast at La Chimenea Lodge, we had a grand time driving to our different destinations ... Puntzan Canopy for zip lining and so much more; going on the swing and taking pictures at El Arbol al Fin del Mundo; taking a cable car over the river near the waterfall and checking out a guava factory; and of course, going to El Pailon del Diablo waterfall! We ate a very nice meal along the way, and we got back to our original hotel very late at night. We thanked Carlos and Carlos immensely. I recommend this tour company highly, but remember, you'll be on a schedule, and if you don't mind that, your trip will be "chevere"! (awesome!)
