Easy and fun experience in Mindo
Jennifer_H, 11-01-2023
My boyfriend and I had a free day in Quito before heading home and since we'd already done the historic downtown thing, we wanted to get out of the city and explore. I booked this the afternoon before and Wilson appeared the next morning. He had tons of experience and knowledge, spoke excellent English, patiently answered all our dumb questions, and customized the experience to what we were interested in. I would definitely recommend this experience, and Wilson as a guide. It was easy, safe, informative, and super fun. Ultimately we saw hummingbirds, butterflies, went ziplining, and had a lovely chocolate-themed lunch in Mindo. Wilson stopped when we needed breaks, took pictures for us, showed us how to tempt the hummingbirds, and translated when we needed it.
Perfect Day in Mindo

We had a wonderful tour. Freddy was very knowledgeable and a great person to spend the day with. I will never forget standing by the river, seeing quetzals and motmots, or feeding the hummingbirds from my hand.
Great trip with Wilson

Wilson was a great guide, and we really enjoyed getting to know him. He’s very knowledgeable about all parts of Ecuador and any experiences we choose for the tour. The hummingbird reserves and coffee farm were amazing and we highly recommend them. Just on our drive through the cloud forest with Wilson, he was able to listen and pick up on Toucan calls to pull off to the side and find them and show them to us in the forest.
Amazing day full of incredible experiences with Iván

Iván was our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. He was super knowledgeable about Ecuador’s history and the nature and wildlife we encountered. He even arrived to pick us up early and arranged for us to make a bonus stop at the (real!) middle of the world. Even though our relationship only lasted the better part of a day, it felt like we were traveling with a friend.

The trip itself was magical. We saw hundreds of hummingbirds, had a nice hike to a waterfall, had a nice lunch in Mindo, took a delicious and informative chocolate tour, and got our bonus experience at the middle of the world.

Even though Mindo has much more to offer than can fit in a day (as we quickly found out), if a day is all you have then this is the tour for you.
Fabulous Mindo tour with a brilliant guide!

Absolutely the best part of our tour was our guide, Wilson Tituaña. He was extremely kind, friendly, and deeply knowledgeable about the places we visited, the history of Ecuador and the region, and all the plant, bird and animal life. He taught us a great deal while taking us to fascinating and beautiful experiences. We learned about the coffee making process from plant to bean to coffee, and did the same in a wonderful place for artisanal chocolate in Mincha. Fabulous food and sights and experiences, all at a mellow pace with a guide who was so interesting and expert I would like to be in touch with him for years to come.
