Amazing Experience

We did the 3-day bike ride with Roberto starting Aug 20, 2021. An amazing 3-days. The scenery was fantastic, the ride incredible, and the service was outstanding. Roberto was very accommodating to our wishes and made sure we were all doing fine throughout the trip. Cesar, our driver and cook also took great care of us and prepared excellent meals and made stops along the way so we could take pictures and try some of the local favourites - ice cream and guinea pig. The booking process was easy, and when we had to cancel our originally scheduled trip in 2020 due to COVID, Biking Dutchman gladly let us rebook for 2021 with no change fees. We highly recommend Biking Dutchman for anyone interested in seeing the highlights of the Ecuador Andes by bike.
Incredible 3 Day Experience!

Such an incredible 3 days! We loved every minute of the trip and hated for it to end. Our guide/driver, Roberto, was awesome and so fun throughout the trip. The biking was challenging but doable and the views were gorgeous! The hardest part was focusing on biking at times instead of looking around. Roberto did a wonderful job accommodating our skill levels and taking photos of us. We had excellent food - I'm still thinking about the delicious lunch from day 1! The accommodations were local and such great experiences. The night in the mountain hut was a favorite. It was a great opportunity to meet others as well. The bikes were in excellent condition and all safety gear was provided. The mix of biking, hiking, and driving was perfect. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Ecuador and if we ever visit again, we will definitely do another one of the trips offered.
Perfect Tour for our Family of 5!

Roberto and Patricio made this trip exceptional. We had just returned to Quito from the Galapagos and were concerned about adjusting to the elevations. They ensured we were hydrated, drank coca tea, and accommodated us with one night at a lower elevation at a hotel in Riobamba. Being New Year's Eve, this turned out to be a win-win - we caught our breath, and enjoyed a wonderful time on the street for the festivities.

The riding was exceptional - especially our last day likely because were more acclimatized. We started at 4800 meters with hail and snow. The dedicated bike trail was hard sand and gravel, fast but manageable. We ended the ride in a deep canyon, waterfalls dropping all around us on smooth pavement. Roberto led making sure that we all felt safe and Patricio followed in the Land Rover, taking pictures of us along the way. Can't wait to see them!

Roberto and Patricio were very attentive, sharing wonderful and informative stories that engaged us all during the road trips. I cannot think of a better way to have spent our limited 3 days in the Andes. Our kids, 14, 16, and 17 cannot stop talking about it.
Great value for an exceptional family adventure.
Great tour covering the highlights of the Ecuadorian Highlands!

I loved the 3 day - 2 night tour to Cotopaxi, Quilotoa, and Chimborazo. I only had a few days for the highlands and this tour brought me to everything I wanted to see. Guides were knowledgable and gave detailed information on the different mtb-routes. Accommadation was far better than expected with cosy, warm-hearted hosts! Dinners could have been included in the overall price since they are basically at the hotel itself and it would have been nice to be dropped of at my hotel in Ambato at the end of the tour (it was just a few blocks away and there was plenty of time).

Overall, I can highly recommend doing this tour for whoever is short on time and wants to genuinely experience the highland life of Ecuador!
Amazing, way exceeding my expectations

Our family (with two 12 old children) had such a great time with Biking Dutchman - fun, peaceful, exhilarating, relaxing - all of these combined.

FIRST, the team is awesome. Our guide, Atiel, was extremely knowledgeable about cycling, Ecuador, and South America. He checked each of us (all at different bicycling levels) and made sure we are all safe but also having fun. When needed and ready, he gently encouraged us to challenge ourselves. I was on and off the bike (as it was my first real mountain biking experience), and he and our driver always asked me if I would like to try, even though it must have been annoying to put the bike up and down each time. Rest of my family (intermediate level bikers) enjoyed the ride so much.

SECOND, it is simply beautiful in the Andes. On a bike, especially, we were able to see places that's not possible (or popular) - beautiful and peaceful part of the Cotopoxi park, unbelievable scenery on the road from Chimborazo to Ambato, etc.

Finally, the owners were very helpful and accommodating with our needs and questions. We truly had memorable three days, and already want to do another trip with them. Highly, highly recommend them to anyone - even those beginners like me!!!
